Legendary former Inter striker Christian Vieri has given a pessimistic prediction for the Nerazzurri next season.

Speaking on his Twitch channel yesterday, as reported by L’Interista, the 48-year-old stated that he thinks Inter will struggled without departed head coach Antonio Conte, and that Juventus could overtake them as the top club in Serie A once again.

Vieri made 190 appearances and scored 123 appearances for the Nerazzurri, having also enjoyed spells at the likes of Lazio and Atletico Madrid among other clubs during his career.

The striker also spent one season with the Bianconeri during the 1996-97 campaign, and it was in this season that he won the only Scudetto of his decorated playing career.

The striker is of the view that the Bianconeri could similarly be the club who take home the Serie A title over the next several seasons, and that the Nerazzurri will struggle to defend last season’s crown under new manager Simone Inzaghi.

“Only with Conte could Inter win the Scudetto,” opined the former striker, “Juve are too strong, and for another 3-4 years in my opinion they will win all the championships.”
