Inter are set to make a major push for PSV right-back Denzel Dumfries, with the club ready to invest part of the fee for Romelu Lukaku in the Dutchman.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri will budget part of the Lukaku sale towards going all in for Dumfries, who is their top target to replace Achraf Hakimi.

Inter have been considering a number of players as possible targets on the right side of the pitch after Achraf Hakimi’s sale to Paris Saint-Germain, with the club being restricted in their spending.

However, with the cash influx of the Lukaku sale to Chelsea, thought to be close to being done, the club are free to pursue Dumfries, who is their first-choice option to take over from the Moroccan.

Talks are now expected in the coming days between the Nerazzurri, the player’s current club, and his agent Mino Raiola to quickly bring him in to the Giuseppe Meazza.
