Inter will move for PSV right-back Denzel Dumfries should they bring in a substantial fee for the sale of Romelu Lukaku.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Dutchman would cost around €15 million including bonuses.

Dumfries is thought to have been a top target for the Nerazzurri to replace Achraf Hakimi on the right side of the squad since the Moroccan’s departure for Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the club have struggled to make an offer which PSV would accept for him given the restrictions on spending at the club this summer due to financial targets needing to be met.

Should Lukaku be sold, however, liquidity in the transfer market would increase due to the influx of cash from the sale, and it could be possible for the Nerazzurri to quickly meet the Dutch club’s valuation for Dumfries and come to an agreement on a transfer.
