Inter are interested in signing Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku should the Belgian depart.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri would look to bring him in using the same transfer formula with which Juventus signed Federico Chiesa.

The Nerazzurri are stepping up their search for a replacement for Lukaku, with the Belgian’s exit looking increasingly likely, and Vlahovic has emerged as one of their top names.

The 21-year-old’s arrival could prove financially difficult to secure, but the Nerazzurri would look to potentially make the transfer feasible by bringing him in through a transfer formula similar to the one in which Chiesa joined the Bianconeri, on a loan deal which eventually becomes a permanent purchase option.

The Tuscan club have accepted an offer of this nature in the past, and the player could be convinced to move to the Giuseppe Meazza, but it remains to be seen if agreement could be found with both.
