Inter are focusing on Roma’s Edin Dzeko as their top target to replace Romelu Lukaku should the Belgian be sold.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, who report that the Bosnian is seen as an ideal option to take over from the Belgian in the short term and could be offered a two-year contract.

Dzeko is thought to be happy in Rome and has enjoyed the start to the pre-season with the Giallorossi under new head coach Jose Mourinho.

However, the 35-year-old’s €7.5 million net wages on the final year of his contract are considered a problem by the capital club, who could aim to offload him this summer to save on his salary.

The Nerazzurri are thought to be ready to offer the striker a two-year deal worth €5 million net per season in order to convince him to make the switch.

Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata is another option highly thought of at the Nerazzurri and would likely cost around €40 million, while Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic would not be sold for less than €50 million.

Angel Correa is another attacker who the club would consider, especially Simone Inzaghi who worked with the player for several seasons while Lazio manager, but the Biancocelesti would not let him go for cheap.
