With Romelu Lukaku closing on a move to Chelsea, Inter have struck an agreement to sign a replacement in Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata, according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla.

As reported by FCInter1908.it, Pedulla suggests that the Nerazzurri have worked quickly to find an alternative to Lukaku, as talks with Chelsea over a sale continue.

Inter have reached a complete agreement with Zapata’s agent over a switch to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, whilst crucially they have also found an agreement in principle with Atalanta for a transfer.

La Dea coach Gian Piero Gasperini has given the green light to the sale of the 30-year-old Colombia international and a deal could come to fruition once Lukaku completes his return to the Premier League.

However, Torino captain Andrea Belotti also remains an option for Inter, with the Italian striker only having a year left on his contract with the Granata and yet to pen an extension.
