Torino captain Andrea Belotti has emerged as a transfer target for Inter as they search for a replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, Premier League club Chelsea are close to a breakthrough in their negotiations for Lukaku and could bring him back to West London in a €115 million transfer.

This would put Inter in the market for a new striker just two weeks before the start of the Serie A season and could prompt them to target Italian international Belotti.

The Torino captain only has one year remaining on his contract and is weighing up his future, despite the Granata offering him a four-year deal worth €3.3m per season.

Having drawn interest from across Serie A and Europe, Belotti is yet to sign new terms and Torino will cash in on him should they receive an offer of €30m.

However, it is believed that this price could be negotiated down and this may allow Inter to make a move for him.
