With Romelu Lukaku increasingly likely to join Chelsea this week, Inter may turn to Torino captain Andrea Belotti as his replacement.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, Lukaku’s impending departure could pave the way for an approach for Belotti and Torino may be ready to cash in.

The Italian international only has a year remaining on his contract and his failure to pen an extension has sparked fear at the Granata that they could lose their captain on a free transfer next summer.

Belotti is weighing up his options after receiving a new contract offer from Torino and wants to see signs of significant improvement before committing his future to the club, after they flirted with relegation last season.

The 27-year-old is also considering interest from other clubs and could be tempted to make the switch to Inter rather than sign a new deal with Torino.

Rather than lose him for free next year, the Granata are thought to be ready to sell for €30 million, although even this price could be negotiated down.
