Inter’s search for a new striker has seen them consider an approach for Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca, with an exchange deal being considered.

As reported in yesterday’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri’s need to bring in a new attacker is being expedited by the likely sale of top scorer Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea.

In addition to signing a replacement for Lukaku, Inter are also keen on bringing in another striker to add to their squad depth, but any such addition would need to be a low-cost option.

This has prompted them to turn to 22-year-old Scamacca after he enjoyed a solid season on loan at Genoa last year.

With Andrea Pinamonti set to join Empoli on loan and Martin Satriano likely to also depart for first team experience, Scamacca is viewed as a strong alternative and Inter are ready to begin discussions on an exchange of loans.

It would see former Roma youth academy striker Scamacca move to Inter, whilst Nerazzurri midfielder Lucien Agoume would depart for Sassuolo.

Inter’s preferred choice is the Neroverdi’s Italian international Giacomo Raspadori, but a deal for the 21-year-old is not thought to be feasible currently.
