The agent of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has insisted that his client wants to remain with the Nerazzurri despite reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Argentina international has emerged as a transfer target for the Premier League club as they seek additional attacking options alongside Harry Kane, but agent Alejandro Camano dampened any suggestions that Martinez would leave.

“Lautaro is happy at Inter and happy in Italy. His decision is to remain,” Camano told Argentine television channel TyC Sports earlier today, as reported by FCInterNews.it.

Martinez had been linked with a move to England as strike partner Romelu Lukaku closes in a switch to Champions League holders Chelsea, but the 23-year-old appears set to stay at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Joining from Racing Club in 2018, Martinez has scored 49 goals in 132 appearances for the Nerazzurri and helped the club reach the Europa League Final in 2020, before winning a first Scudetto in 11 years last season.

The forward has earned 29 caps for Argentina and scored 14 times, whilst he was included in the squad that lifted the Copa America this summer.
