Roma striker Edin Dzeko wants to join Inter, and he has informed his current club of his desire to make the switch.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Bosnian has been identified by the Nerazzurri as the successor to Romelu Lukaku with the Belgian’s sale imminent, and that the Giallorossi will let him go once they find the right player to replace him.

The Nerazzurri are getting to work securing attacking reinforcements with Lukaku’s move to Chelsea all but done, and Dzeko looks to be the first name they will bring in.

The 35-year-old has already agreed personal terms on the move and has made his intentions clear, and the Nerazzurri must now only wait for Roma to allow him to leave and come to an agreement on the terms of the deal.

Inter will hope that the process is quick, with the club not wanting to waste any time in their search for a replacement for Lukaku.
