Inter fans took the opportunity to show their support for coach Simone Inzaghi and CEO Beppe Marotta during yesterday’s friendly against Parma, whilst protesting against owners Suning.

According to FCInterNews.it, around 500 Nerazzurri supporters attended the team’s 2-0 preseason friendly win at the Stadio Ennio Tardini and they made their fury at Suning’s recent activities known.

The Chinese retail conglomerate have sought to reduce costs and bring the wage bill down, culminating in the sale of star players Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi. The policy also prompted coach Antonio Conte to walk away just weeks after leading Inter to the Scudetto last season.

Banners and chants made clear that the Zhang family were no longer welcome at the club and urged them to leave, whilst the fans showed their appreciation for Inzaghi and Marotta.

The crowd were keen to back the pair as they deal with a difficult summer of rebuilding, ahead of Inter’s opening Serie A match against Genoa in two weeks.
