Alessandro Florenzi is close to making the switch from Roma to AC Milan, ending Inter’s interest in him.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio who reportson his homepage that the 30-year-old will join the Rossoneri on loan initially with an option to buy which becomes an obligation upon certain conditions being met.

Florenzi has spent the past season on loan with Valencia and then Paris Saint-Germain and it is thought that the Giallorossi have considered him to be for sale.

The Nerazzurri had the Italian on their list of possible arrivals in the right-sided to role to replace Achraf Hakimi after the Moroccan’s departure.

However, it now looks to be their city rivals who have won the chase for the Roma player, with a deal close to being finalized which would see the wing-back play his football on the other side of the San Siro next season.
