Inter CEO Beppe Marotta hopes to provide coach Simone Inzaghi with two new right wing-backs, as he seeks to close deals for Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez and PSV Eindhoven’s Denzel Dumfries.

As reported in yesterday’s newspaper edition of La Repubblica, Inter are ready to use some of the funds generated by striker Romelu Lukaku’s €115 million sale to Chelsea to strengthen on the right flank.

The Nerazzurri have been looking for a new wing-back since selling Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain last month, with Nandez and Dumfries the priorities in that position.

Whilst it had been felt that Inter would only be able to afford one or the other, Marotta may now be able to secure both.

Talks with Cagliari for Nandez have been ongoing for some time as Inter try to finalise a loan with an obligation to buy, whilst Netherlands international Dumfries has made clear his desire to leave, paving the way for an approach from the Nerazzurri.
