Romelu Lukaku should become a Chelsea player soon, with the Belgian striker having completed his medicals for the London club today.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old will fly to London in the next few hours to undertake the final steps towards his move to the European champions.

With agreement between the two clubs on the fees involved and between Chelsea and Lukaku on personal terms it has looked only a matter of time before the move is confirmed, and another major step has now been taken with the player’s medical.

Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is hoping to have the striker available to him as soon as possible to start on preparations for the new season with the Super Cup final against Villarreal scheduled for this Wednesday and the new Premier League season set to kick off this weekend.

Beyond any extraordinary complications, it looks like Lukaku will not be a much longer and is all set to start on his new challenge in the Premier League.
