Simone Inzaghi has given the Inter squad today off to take a brief rest from training, and will expect his players to reconvene tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri head coach has granted the time off as the beginning of the Serie A season approaches and the team look to get to match sharpness.

The Nerazzurri squad have now been training with Inzaghi for several weeks, and have had several opportunities to hone their skills in friendly matches in addition to rigorously training to prepare for the challenges to come.

A day of rest will be appreciated amidst the intense preparations, but the players will immediately be expected back tomorrow, where they will be back to getting themselves into top physical condition and taking on-board the new manager’s tactical ideas.

The final friendly of the summer is scheduled for August 14, and will come against Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kiev, and will give the players one last opportunities to get themselves all ready for the season.
