Radja Nainggolan is likely to join Cagliari after being released from his Inter contract by mutual agreement.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reports on his homepage that the Rossoblu are the favourites to sign the Belgian, although Turkish side Besiktas as well as another club outside of Italy are interested in his signature as well.

Nainggolan’s departure from the Nerazzurri today was officially announced after it had been officially expected that he would leave the club for much of the summer.

It remains to be seen where the 33-year-old ultimately decides to go next with several offers still on the table, but Cagliari are the club most strongly linked with the midfielder having strong ties to the Sardinian club, where he spent the second half of last season on loan.

The Rossoblu have not yet been able to agree a deal with Inter that satisfies all parties, but with the player having had his contract terminated they are free to negotiate with him without the involvement of Inter, although they could still be beaten to him by another club’s offer now that he is a free agent.
