Roma striker Edin Dzeko has talked about his future amid heavy Inter links, suggesting that he is taking things one step at a time.
Speaking to Corriere dello Sport journalist Jacopo Aliprandi, reported in a tweet on the reporter’s official account, the Bosnian explained that his first priority is visiting with his family and then he will deal with his future.
Dzeko is reportedly close to a move to Inter and could complete the switch as early as this week as the Nerazzurri look to add quality to their attack without wasting any time after the departure of Romelu Lukaku for Chelsea.
The 35-year-old is open to the deal, but as he states to Aliprandi, he is not trying to rush anything and will wait to see what happens between the clubs.
Dzeko has made 260 appearances and scored 119 goals in all competitions for Roma since joining in the summer of 2015, but is willing to make the switch to the Italian champions.
When asked about his plans he simply stated “Now I’m going to be with my children who I haven’t seen while at the training camp in Portugal.”
Of the links with Inter, he said, “Let’s see. Step by step.”
