Talks are advanced between Inter and PSV about a move for right-wing-back Denzel Dumfries, with the clubs close to agreeing a deal for the 25-year-old.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reports on his homepage that the clubs met this afternoon along with the player’s agent Mino Raiola, and made significant strides towards a deal worth €20 million including add-ons.

Dumfries is the Nerazzurri’s top target to replace Achraf Hakimi on the right side of the pitch, and they are stepping up their pursuit.

The player wants a move to Inter, and he appears close to getting his wish, with the Nerazzurri wasting no time in trying to persuade PSV by coming close to their valuation with an offer.

PSV are thought to want €20 million for the Dutchman, and Inter are reported to have put €15 million plus €5 million in add-ons on the table, according to a clarification in a tweet by Pedulla.

Pedulla tweets: “#Dumfries-#Inter: hot deal, now. #PSV asks for €20m, let’s say say €15m plus bonuses. We are alive, with confidence. #Nandez later on, now it’s all about #Dumfries.”
