Inter are unlikely to sign Manchester United striker Anthony Martial as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, with Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ready to veto a move away for the Frenchman.

This according to UK broadcaster Sky Sports, who report that the Frenchman is part of Solskjaer’s plans for next season, and he does not want to be deprived of a major squad member this late in the transfer window.

Inter are stepping up their search for a striker to take the place of Lukaku with the Belgian on the verge of an exit, and Martial has emerged on their list of possible targets.

The Nerazzurri’s interest is reported to be real, but United’s manager has told the English club that he does not want to let Martial go, and on this basis it will likely prove impossible for the Nerazzurri to convince Martial’s club to let him go.
