Empoli are expecting to complete the signing of Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti on loan next week.

This according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that the Tuscan side want the 22-year-old available in their squad as soon as possible and are working to finalize the deal, which will be a dry loan for the player.

The newly-promoted Serie A side look to have won the race for Pinamonti’s signature, with the striker seen as an ideal reinforcement in forward areas as the club look to cement their status in Italy’s top division.

Only details remain on his signing, and the Tuscans are confident that they can get the deal finished up next week.

Should the move go through, Pinamonti will once again link up with head coach Andrea Pinamonti, under whom he played during the Italian’s short stint in charge of Genoa, and who joins Empoli this summer to replace the outgoing Alessio Dionisi.
