Inter look set to miss out on Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, with the 21-year-old’s current club close to extending his contract.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Serbian striker is close to signing a new deal with the Tuscan club that will see his wages rise to a net of €3 million per season plus significant add-ons.

Vlahovic’s name had emerged on the Nerazzurri’s list of possible replacements for Romelu Lukaku, but they will likely have to look elsewhere, with La Viola ready to lock down the player, with only a few details left in contract talks.

The player and club have yet to agree on a release clause, but once this is settled it is expected that the player will sign his new deal, and Fiorentina will keep hold of him for at least one more season.

Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid are also among the clubs pursuing Vlahovic in this window, but it now appears that he will stay at Fiorentina.
