Inter could have some way to go as they look to make an offer that Lazio will accept for striker Joaquin Correa.

This according to Italian news outlet La Repubblica, who report that the Nerazzurri have so far offered €26 million for the Argentine, who is the favourite of head coach Simone Inzaghi, whilst Lazio want €40 million.

Talks are ongoing with the Biancocelesti over a move for the striker, mediated by his agent Alessandro Lucci, although at the moment there is much work to be done on finding a financial agreement.

Correa is one of the most serious targets for Inter in their search for a striker after the departure of Romelu Lukaku, and they are wasting no time as they look to close on a deal for him.

It remains to be seen, however, whether they will ultimately be able to convince the Biancocelesti, with time of the essence in their search for attacking reinforcements, or if the difference on fee will prove too big an obstacle.
