Inter are seriously considering a move for Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne, whose contract with the Partenopei expires at the end of June 2022.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the 30-year-old is yet to agree on a new deal with his current club and that contract talks appear to be stalling.

With the Napoli captain potentially headed into the final season of his current deal without an extension in place, the Partenopei could be willing to sell him this summer, and the Nerazzurri could take the opportunity to bring him in.

The report continues that the Partenopei could let him go for around €25 million this summer rather than let him leave on a free, and that the player currently earns a net of €5 million plus add-ons.

The Nerazzurri are weighing up the feasibility of the player’s signing, but they are serious in their interest and have already made contact with his entourage.

The next few hours will be decisive in determining whether Insigne could leave Napoli for Inter, with talks poised to show whether or not a transfer can be done, and the player’s will likely to be the decisive factor.
