Inter are hoping to complete the signing of PSV right-back Denzel Dumfries soon, and are currently waiting for the Dutch club’s response to their first offer.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri put forward an offer for €10 million plus €4 million in add-ons for the Eindhoven-based club to consider.
Dumfries is the Nerazzurri’s top target to replace Achraf Hakimi on the right and they are keen to make him available in the squad to manager Simone Inzaghi as soon as possible, possibly by Monday.
PSV value the 25-year-old at around €15-20 million, and it remains to be seen how they respond to the initial offer, though Inter will hope that their answer comes soon so that negotiations can move along quickly.
Inter would be willing to come up on their offer, it is thought, with increasing the fixed amount on offer a possibility, and their priority is to complete the deal without delay in anticipation of the looming start to the season.
The Dutchman’s agent Mino Raiola is also keen on seeing the deal done for his client, and is hard at work mediating the deal between the two clubs.
