Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci believes that Inter will be the team to beat in Serie A next season.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, as reported by FCInter1908, the 33-year-old weighed in on the upcoming Scudetto race, and stated that he believes the Nerazzurri to be the strongest team in Serie A after their league win last season.

Bonucci acknowledges that Inter, like many, have undergone a summer of upheaval which could make recapturing last season’s form difficulty, but he nevertheless believes that they possess the qualities necessary to be the strongest team in the league once again.

Last season marked the first season in almost a decade that Bonucci’s club Juventus did not win the league, with the defender having been with the Bianconeri for all of these triumphs barring one, and he is aware that there will be a real fight between Serie A’s big clubs once again this season.

“Inter are the team to beat,” he said, continuing that “In the title race, the details will make the difference.

“It is a significant end of the transfer market, many strong players have changed teams and this could change the rankings a little.”
