There is tension between Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini and Inter-linked Rossoblu midfielder Nahitan Nandez over the player’s transfer saga and his desire to leave for the Nerazzurri.

This according to Italian news outlet Centotrentuno.com, who report that Giulini has asked the 25-year-old’s entourage to search for new suitors more willing to meet his economic demands than Inter are.

However the player has remained firm on only wanting a move to the Nerazzurri and nowhere else.

The Nerazzurri are still interested in signing Nandez despite having accelerated their chase for PSV’s Denzel Dumfries, but they are currently prioritizing talks for the latter as well as a striker.

However, their interest in Nandez has not waned and they intend to come back to talks for the versatile Uruguayan soon.

However, the Cagliari president has grown frustrated with their insistence on economic terms which he does not want to meet.

The player’s intention is to make the switch to Inter, with whom he has agreed terms on a four-year deal worth €3 million net per season.

The Nerazzurri hope to return to negotiations with Cagliari soon, but these could prove difficult with the Rossoblu wanting to pursue other options rather than continue with the talks to send Nandez to the Giuseppe Meazza.
