Fiorentina look set to agree a new contract with Inter target Dusan Vlahovic, ready to ward off interest from the Nerazzurri and other top European clubs.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that La Viola are close to agreeing a new deal with the 21-year-old that would run until the summer of 2025 and contain a €70 million release clause.

Vlahovic had emerged as a major target for the Nerazzurri with Romelu Lukaku leaving for Chelsea, and the club consider him to have the right profile to replace the Belgian.

However, the Serb is thought to be out of Inter’s price range already, and his current club look set to confirm their valuation with the new release clause.

Meanwhile, English side Tottenham have also been closely tracking Vlahovic, and Spanish giants Atletico Madrid also consider him a target.

However, all interested clubs around Europe could miss out on the striker’s signature this summer should he agree on a new deal with La Viola.
