Inter are getting closer to completing a deal for Lazio striker Joaquin Correa.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Argentine is for sale at his current club, who want €35 million for him.

Correa is one of the Nerazzurri’s priority targets in their search for attacking reinforcements following the departure of Romelu Lukaku, and the Biancocelesti would be amenable to his sale as they need the income from a transfer fee to fund other important business.

Yesterday evening Correa’s agent Alessandro Lucci met with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio, and it is thought that a primary purpose of the meeting was to bring the player closer to a move to the Giuseppe Meazza.

The capital club have placed an asking price of €35 million on the Argentine, and it is thought that the Nerazzurri are close to making an offer that would be close enough to convince them to sell.
