Inter’s priority target in attack remains Lazio’s Joaquin Correa despite links to Lorenzo Insigne, whose contract talks with Napoli have stalled.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Argentine is still the player who the Nerazzurri are most closely pursuing and the favourite of head coach Simone Inzaghi, and that they could find the right offer to convince the Biancocelesti.
Correa is the first choice of Inzaghi, with whom he spent three seasons together while the Italian tactician was in charge at Lazio, and his current club are asking €35 million for him, with Inter ready to offer €25 million plus add-ons.
Inzaghi is hoping for the Argentine, but Inter are also considering other possibilities, with Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata considered to be a striker with the right attributes to directly replace the departed Romelu Lukaku and Everton’s Moise Kean being offered by agent Mino Raiola.
Insigne is yet another player to be added to this list with the Nerazzurri weighing up taking advantage of his contract situation, but Correa remains at the top of the list.
