Inter still consider Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez a target despite having reached a deal for PSV’s Denzel Dumfries.

This according to Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri will not give up on their chase of the Uruguayan even after completing the deal for Dumfries, though they will expect the Rossoblu to accept their terms for a loan fee.

With Dumfries’s arrival, the Nerazzurri appear to have solved the issue in their squad, with the Dutchman taking the place of Achraf Hakimi as the preferred option, a position that had been potentially earmarked for Nandez.

However, the versatile Uruguayan is still an option in other positions and a player who would potentially strengthen the squad even after Dumfries’s addition.

Negotiations have stalled with Cagliari over a transfer for the 25-year-old, with the two clubs now struggling to agree on a loan fee having at one point looked close to reaching an agreement.

However, with the signing of Dumfries wrapped up, the Nerazzurri still plan to go back to negotiations for Nandez to try and convince the Rossoblu on deal.
