Inter striker Lautaro Martinez’s agent has confirmed that the Argentine is happy at the club and does not want a move away.

Speaking to Argentine broadcaster TYC Sports, as reported by FCInter1908, Martinez’s agent Alejandro Camano updated on his client’s future amid links away, confirming that he wants to stay and sign a contract extension with the Nerazzurri.

Martinez’s future has been up in the air this summer, with the 23-year-old’s current contract set to expire at the end of June 2023 and no new deal having yet been agreed amid links to the Premier League and La Liga.

It is thought that the Nerazzurri will seek to get talks on a new contract for Martinez wrapped up as soon as possible, but the player is currently the subject of interest from English side Tottneham in particular.

Camano makes clear, however, that Martinez is not planning on leaving and hopes to sign a renewal soon.

The agent explained, “Today, Lautaro does not want to leave Inter despite offers from England. He is happy and loves the club.

“Next week I will meet the club to talk about a renewal. Our desire is clear, but it will also depend on them.”
