Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is hoping for a reunion with Lazio forward Joaquin Correa next season, and the Argentine is his preferred attacking target during this transfer window.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Italian tactician is keen on Correa and has asked that the 26-year-old be pursued over other targets.

The Nerazzurri are wasting no time in their search for attacking reinforcements following the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea, and Correa’s name has quickly emerged close to the top of their list.

Correa is a player with whom he worked for several seasons while in charge of the Biancocelesti, and he believes that the Argentine would be the right addition in the forward positions, and would take little time to adjust to his methods and expectations.

It remains to be seen if Inzaghi gets his wish or if the club decide to move for another attacker instead, but the manager’s preference is for the Argentine.
