Edin Dzeko is waiting for official confirmation of his transfer to come from Roma, and hopes that he can begin training with his new teammates this afternoon with an aim to participating in tomorrow’s friendly against Dynamo Kiev.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the only thing left before the Bosnian can be fully registered as an Inter player is official documentation from the Giallorossi.

Dzeko is in good physical shape and confirmed to Nerazzurri head coach Simone Inzaghi that he completed pre-season training with Roma already and is match-fit.

The only thing remaining is for the 35-year-old to begin training with his new teammates and to settle in, hopefully also gaining match experience with his new club by appearing in the Dynamo clash.

Dzeko could possibly be called on to play against Genoa in the Serie A opener one week tomorrow very early on in his Inter career, with the Nerazzurri light in forward options due to the suspension of Lautaro Martinez and the injury to Alexis Sanchez.
