Fiorentina Sporting Director Nicolas Burdisso has made clear that La Viola do not consider Inter target Dusan Vlahovic for sale.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Italia1 before a Coppa Italia tie against Cosenza, as reported by FCInter1908, the director stated that the 21-year-old is an important part of the Tuscan club’s plans for next season, and that they want to secure his future rather than allowing him to leave.

Vlahovic has emerged as a target for Inter as they look to bring in a quality centre-forward to replace Romelu Lukaku following the Belgian’s departure for Chelsea.

The Nerazzurri are not the only club to be interested in him, with Spanish giants Atletico Madrid also in hot pursuit among other major European clubs.

However, as Burdisso makes clear, these clubs may miss out as Fiorentina are planning for their future with Vlahovic and want to renew his contract rather than selling him.

“We want to keep him and renew his contract,” the Sporting Director said, “we’re continuing to work on this, the rest will be seen.”
