Inter are looking increasingly unlikely to sign Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that despite the player having looked close weeks ago, negotiations appear to have broken down and are at a standstill.

For the time being, then, the Nerazzurri consider talks for the Uruguayan to have concluded, though it is not precluded that they could return for him before the transfer window is shut.

Young French midfielder Lucien Agoume is expected to be sent out on loan to Ligue 1 for next season, having returned from loan with Spezia, and once he departs the Nerazzurri could once again look to bring in another midfielder.

At this point, another push for Nandez could be on the cards, though it remains to be seen whether agreement for the 25-year-old’s signing could be found with his current club at this point.
