Inter striker Lautaro Martinez wants to stay at Inter despite interest from major European clubs, including a massive salary offer by Premier League side Arsenal.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Gunners have put forward an offer worth a net of €17 million per season to convince the Argentine to leave the Nerazzurri, but that he nevertheless plans on starting contract talks at his current club soon.
Inter are trying to secure the striker’s future amid links away, with his agent Alejandro Camano scheduled to meet with the club next week do discuss a contract renewal.
Interest remains in the 23-year-old, especially from the Premier League, with Arsenal ready to try and tempt him away with a substantial wage increase, but for now the player’s preference is to remain at Inter.
His current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2023, but the will of the player is to extend his stay, as he has little interest in leaving for the English top flight.
