Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is insistent that the club make every effort to sign Lazio striker Joaquin Correa this summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Argentine is Inzaghi’s top choice to join the Nerazzurri’s attack, and that he has asked them to ensure he arrives before the end of the transfer window.

The Nerazzurri are actively hunting for one more attacker following Romelu Lukaku’s departure, and their head coach believes that a reunion with Correa, with whom he spent three seasons while in charge of the Biancocelesti, would represent the best way to strengthen in the forward area.

The 26-year-old wants to leave Lazio and has communicated his intention to the club, and Inter are actively pursuing, but so far the Biancocelesti have not backed down from their demanded fee of €41 million.

The Nerazzurri are not willing to go any higher than €30 million, but it remains to be seen if the clubs can come together and the Biancocelesti will drop their asking price, granting Inzaghi his wish.
