Inter are still attempting to find an agreement for Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata to join the club and replace Romelu Lukaku, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Gianlucadimarzio.com today, the Colombian forward is the name at the top of Inter’s wishlist when it comes to replacing the Belgian striker who left for Chelsea this week in dramatic fashion.

Atalanta are not prepared to sell the player without finding an appropriate replacement first. They have been linked with Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham but AS Roma seem to be further along in their discussions with him than La Dea are.

If no agreement can be found for Duvan Zapata, the two other most likely options for Inter are Lazio’s Joaquin Correa and Napoli’s Lorenzo Insigne.

Joaquin Correa is the most plausible deal because he has worked with Simone Inzaghi before and the finances are much more simple than they are with Lorenzo Insigne.
