Inter representatives are set to meet with Marcelo Brozovic to finally settle on a contract extension with the Croatian midfielder, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FcINternews, meetings will take place before the end of August and both parties are optimistic that a deal will be reached.

The gap between the two in relation to salary is not too wide anymore which means an agreement is very likely. Marcelo Brozovic believes he should be paid €6 million a season, whereas the Nerazzurri are likely to start their offer at €4.5-5 million with the contract running until 2024.

The Croatian midfielder has his heart set on staying in Milan as he is a key player and has his life outside of football set up in the city, but he feels he is underpaid.

The current deal runs out in June 2022 so an agreement will need to be found quickly.
