Ex-Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is expected to do a post on social media in the next couple of days explaining to Inter fans why he has left the club for Chelsea, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Belgian striker has been waiting until the frenzy of social media activity around his sudden departure dies down before he then adds to the conversation and has his own say on what happened.
The rhetoric from the player all summer was that he is happy at Inter and will not be moving away. It is believed that this was true but then Suning decided to cash in on the financially lucrative offer from Chelsea. With that accepted, Romelu Lukaku felt he had to go.
Some Inter fans may feel betrayed but Romelu Lukaku will be hoping to put the record straight with his address on social media.
