New Inter striker has already proved to the fans and management that he can slot in well with the philosophy and style at Inter, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bosnian striker immediately showed that whilst on the pitch, he will be the focal point of Inter’s attacking play with faster players running off him.

This is what happened for Inter’s first goal in the 3-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv on Saturday night. The ball was played into Edin Dzeko with his back to goal and he instinctively laid it off to Nicolo Barella who then scored.

This is a similarity to the game of Romelu Lukaku who is wonderful at holding up the play and bringing others into the fray.

That is why Edin Dzeko is a logical short-term solution to the sale of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea.
