New Inter striker Edin Dzeko has expressed how happy he is to be given a chance by the Inter hierarchy to continue proving himself in Serie A, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Speaking to the club’s official channel, Inter TV, after the friendly win over Dynamo Kyiv, Edin Dzeko explained how excited he is to be joining another Serie A team after leaving AS Roma, especially with the pedigree of Inter.
“The sensations are beautiful, I am very happy. This is a great opportunity for me. I can’t wait to take the field with my teammates.”
It is clear that Edin Dzeko had fears that some in the game may feel he has not got much to offer now that he is now 35 years of age. That is why he is so grateful to Inter for giving him what could be another lease of life in Serie A.
“I want to thank the management and the coach for their trust, because they think I can still make a difference.”
Edin Dzeko made a name for himself in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg where his poise caught the eye of Manchester City. He then spent six years at AS Roma before joining Inter.
