Inter striker Lautaro Martinez could have another element to his contract renewal to think about if Antonio Conte were to become Arsenal manager, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, Lautaro Martinez is likely to feel he should be paid the same amount as new signing Edin Dzeko, who will earn €6 million a season. For comparison, Lautaro Martinez currently earns €3 million a season.

It is firmly believed that the Argentine striker does want to stay at Inter rather than move to Arsenal who are willing to offer him much more money than Inter can.

That situation could change if Arsenal’s season carries on in the same way as it started on Friday night. They were beaten 2-0 by the newly-promoted side Brentford. If Mikel Arteta is relieved of his duties, many believe Antonio Conte may be interested in the role.

If that occurs, Lautaro Martinez may want to be reunited with the ex-Inter coach.
