New Inter striker Edin Dzeko could represent a perfect short term solution for the sale of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea, according to a report in the British media today.

As has been reported by British media outlet BBC Sport, the Bosnian striker could be the perfect player to help Inter have a successful season whilst keeping money in the bank for the summer of 2022 where a long term replacement can be signed.

Many fans and pundits feared that with Romelu Lukaku leaving the club for Premier League side Chelsea, Inter will struggle to find a constant source of goals other than Lautaro Martinez.

Edin Dzeko has now joined on a free transfer from AS Roma, however, so he is a player that guarantees goals and quality performances that help the whole team.

With the money Inter have gathered from Romelu Lukaku’s sale, they can chase a player like Giacomo Raspadori or Dusan Vlahovic next summer.
