New Inter wing-back signing Denzel Dumfries could make a major impact with the Nerazzurri, and will fit in will with the tactical ideas of head coach Simone Inzaghi.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who argue that the 25-year-old, brought in from PSV, will be able to fulfill a specific role in the Italian tactician’s setup effectively.

Dumfries arrived at the Giuseppe Meazza as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi following the departure of the Moroccan for Paris Saint-Germain, and the Dutchman will be expected to quickly adapt and bring a threat from wide areas as Hakimi did.

Inzaghi’s ideas of football are dependent on wide players in his midfielder ahead of a three-main defense taking up extremely advanced positions and being comfortable joining the attack and breaking down opposition defenses.

Dumfries has showed that he is proficient at playing at playing in this style with both his previous club and with the Dutch national side, and could be a very important player next season.
