Inter players Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic have been called up to Croatia’s squad for their upcoming FIFA 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.

This is confirmed by a tweet listing the entire squad made by the Croatian FA, which also sees former Nerazzurri players Marko Livaja and Matteo Kovacic among head coach Zlatko Dalic’s selection for the fixtures.

Brozovic and Perisic each played a vital role in the Nerazzurri’s successful last season, making major contributions to Antonio Conte’s side as the club clinched its first Scudetto in eleven years.

This form carried over into the EUROS where the pair were regulars in the Croatia team that made it to the round of sixteen before being eliminated in extra time by Spain, in a match which Perisic was unfortunate to miss out on through illness after testing positive for COVID-19.

Croatia will face off against Russia, Slovakia, and Slovenia during the international break in September, though it remains to be seen how much action will be seen by the Inter duo.

The complete squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Livakovic, Sluga, Ivusic

Defenders: Vida, Lovren, Barisic, Caleta-Car, Juranovic, Uremovic, Gvardiol, Skoric, Sosa

Midfielders: Modric, Kovacic, Brozovic, Pasalic, Vlasic, Ivanusec, Moro

Forwards: Perisic, Kramaric, Orsic, Budimir, Livaja, Colak
