Inter will move for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic next summer should Lautaro Martinez depart from the club.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurri cannot afford to sign the Serbian centre-forward this summer, but that he would become a major departure in the event that Martinez is sold.

Vlahovic had been considered a possible attacking arrival following Romelu Lukaku’s sale to Chelsea, but it is now clear that the 21-year-old is out of Inter’s price range.

However, CEO Beppe Marotta is still in contact with La Viola over the player, and has made clear that while the Nerazzurri have no intention of moving for him during this transfer window, he would become a target if Martinez leaves.

For now, the Nerazzurri have no intention to sell Martinez, but with several top European clubs interested in the Argentine his status cannot be totally secure even if he is to sign a new contract, and the Nerazzurri are making sure that they have a plan in place in case they lose him, in the form of Vlahovic.
