Inter have made an offer to Atalanta for striker Duvan Zapata, who is their first choice to replace Romelu Lukaku following the Belgian’s departure.

This according to Italian news outlet TuttoAtalanta.com, who report that the Nerazzurri have put forward and offer for €30 million plus bonuses for the Colombian, and are waiting for a response.

Zapata emerged as a major target for Inter early in their search for a replacement for Lukaku when it was clear that the Belgian was close to the exit door, and he remains top of their list.

Lazio’s Joaquin Correa and Napoli’s Lorenzo Insigne are also considerations, but it is Zapata who the Nerazzurri are currently pursuing, with the club already reported to have reached an agreement with the player.

It remains to be seen if La Dei will be willing to deal for the 30-year-old, and if the Nerazzurri’s offer will be anywhere near enough to convince them to part ways with him.
