Inter are considering Monaco’s Keita Balde and Everton’s Moise Kean as backup targets in their search for a striker should they be unable to sign either Duvan Zapata or Joaquin Correa.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that Atalanta’s Zapata is the Nerazzurri’s preferred target, and Lazio’s Correa the first backup, but that other possibilities are also lined up.

Balde has one year left on his contract with his current club and is linked with a move away, having spent last season on loan in Serie A with Sampdoria.

The Senegalese striker has had success working with Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi while the pair were together at Lazio, and spent one season on loan at the Nerazzurri, during the 2018-19 campaign, and could be an attainable target.

Meanwhile, Kean is thought to be unsettled with his current club and has been linked with the Nerazzurri this window.

Neither player are among the priority options for Inter, but the club are keeping them in mind as they are determined to add one more striker to the squad before the transfer window closes following the arrival of Edin Dzeko last week.
